Morven Smith
Morven was born in Scotland and educated in Scotland and England. She has an economics degree from Cambridge University, has studied a Masters programme in Organisational Behaviour at Birkbeck College, London and is a qualified TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) teacher. Since moving to Sweden in 2003, she has completed a university course in Cross-Cultural Communication, a course in Adult Education run by Medborgarskolan and has studied Swedish to Svenska A level.
Morven has 20 years of international experience in consultancy, HR and training with both large global organisations and smaller consultancies. She formerly ran the Management Training & Development unit at Reuters Ltd based in London. This involved designing and implementing training programmes for managers in the UK; establishing effective performance management processes across the business; and providing coaching and consulting services to enhance individual and team performance.
Prior to this, Morven worked as a project manager and performance analyst within the training and development department at Reuters. She also held a number of consultancy and analyst positions within management consultancy companies, including three years as a consultant with Ernst & Young in Canada. During her career, she has worked on consultancy and training projects in the US, Canada, Bermuda, the UK and Sweden.
